Academic Services Division

The Academic Services Division has primary responsibility for the delivery of student focused administrative functions and contributes to student-related policy development. The Academic Services Division (ASD) led by the Academic Registrar, has responsibility for the functions of Academic Policy and Programs; Admissions; Examinations; Student Centres; Student Complaints and Grievance Resolution; Student Fees and Scholarships; Student Progression and Teaching Space Management. The Division provides high quality administrative and professional services in support of the University’s academic activities.

The Academic Policy and Programs section is responsible for providing administrative support for teaching and learning activities through a range of services that support academic decision-making processes, information provision and dissemination.

About This Opportunity

The Administration Officer in the Academic Policy and Programs team will play an integral role in central administration and committee support, as well as in the development and implementation of academic policy and academic programs at the University.

The successful applicant will provide secretariat and other administrative support to committees of the Academic Board, and will support central administration processes such as program approval and implementation, academic policy development and School reviews.

Our Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have a degree with substantial relevant experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education/training. You must have well-developed organisational, analytical and problem solving skills; and high level computer skills.

The role requires applicants to have knowledge of the University’s committee processes, or to have the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge. You should have excellent information management and communication skills, and be able to work effectively within a team.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position at HEW level 5. 

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $67,608 to $75,506 p.a., plus super of up to 17%
(total package will be in the range $79,101.84 to $88,342.98 p.a.)
