Office of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement & Entrepreneurship)

The Global Engagement and Entrepreneurship (GE&E) Office is responsible for leading UQ’s business development and engagement activities with UQ’s current and potential partners. In particular, the division leads and oversees the implementation of the University’s strategy to develop specific partnerships with universities, government, research and industry bodies, both in Australia and around the world. GE&E is responsible for overseeing the University’s Global Strategy Framework, which includes management of UQ’s international agreements and associated activities, sponsored student programs, outbound missions, international visits and high level engagement events.

About This Opportunity

You will be responsible in the oversight of the day-to-day management and ongoing development of UQ’s accelerator and incubation programs. Additionally, you will provide support and act as a mentor to teams and work closely with the Head, UQ Ventures and UQ Ventures’ Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position at HEW level 8.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $98,298 - $110,376, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $115,008 - $129,139.
