Coordinator, Admissions, Academic Services Division

The Academic Services Division’s mission is to provide expert information, direction and professional service to support the University’s student and academic activities.

Admissions – administers policies for the admission of undergraduate and postgraduate applicants through work with internal and external stakeholders, responds to prospective student enquiries, contributes to the production of University admissions publications and undertakes other admissions related functions such as support for the Enhanced Studies Program.

About This Opportunity

The Coordinator, Admissions will manage a team of staff who provide support for the University’s domestic undergraduate and postgraduate admissions processes and Enhanced Studies Program in accordance with University policy and procedures, legislative requirements, and approved business practices. The role will provide high quality advice on admissions and proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure Admissions meet current and emerging needs. The incumbent will work closely with the Manager, Admissions to monitor services and support continuous improvement of the processes and services provided by Admissions.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our Ideal Candidate

As our ideal candidate you will hold a degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

You will have experience in effective staff management in a high volume, service orientated environment, including the successful planning, organising, performance management, and development of staff.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability and experience in providing secretariat support to committees and working groups, including the preparation of agendas, minutes and action items, undertaking investigation and research into matters.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time continuing position at HEW level 7.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $87,022 - $94,885, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $101,816 - $111,016.
