Research Ethics and Integrity

The Research Ethics and Integrity (REI) office sits within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) portfolio and employs over 20 staff, who work as a team to provide specialist strategic and administrative support to manage the University’s research ethics, integrity and regulatory compliance requirements. In addition, REI oversees the development and implementation of resources and training programs for University researchers in research ethics and integrity.

About This Opportunity

As the Senior Manager Research Integrity you will play a leading role in championing the responsible conduct of research at the University of Queensland. The position provides specialist advice on research integrity policy and frameworks, manages the assessment of complaints about the conduct of research and oversees education and training related to research integrity, ethics and compliance. 

The position also oversees the University’s Export Controls and Sanctions processes. The Senior Manager Research Integrity assists with policy development and review and is engaged in improving processes and implementing initiatives to support researchers and build a culture of responsible research practice.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our Ideal Candidate

As our ideal candidate, you will have extensive knowledge of research governance and regulatory frameworks and of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. You will have relevant experience in assessment and management of complaints or allegations of research misconduct along with demonstrated understanding, or the capacity to obtain an understanding, of Australia’s Export Controls and Sanctions legislation as they pertain to research environments.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 9.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $117,548 - $124,391, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $137,532 - $145,537.
