About This Opportunity

An opportunity exists for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to focus their efforts on developing their expertise and emerging research profile in their discipline.  At this level, it is expected that the incumbent will contribute to service and engagement roles and activities. This role will be supported and guided by more senior academic research staff with the expectation of an increasing degree of autonomy over time.

The role will focus on project management and research duties as part of the Child Abuse Investigator Training and Delivery (CATD) Project, funded by the Queensland Police Service. The role will work with Professor Blake McKimmie, Professor Barbara Masser, Detective Senior Sergeant Kirsten Helton and other representatives from QPS as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have completed a PhD in the discipline area. This will be partnered with an emerging profile in research and evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals in the discipline area. Expertise in the area of psychology and law, with the capability of developing knowledge and expertise in trauma, child witnesses and sexual assault is essential.

What We Can Offer

This is a fixed-term, full time position for 2.5 years at Academic level A.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $83,627 - $92,782, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $97,843 - $108,554.
