About This Opportunity

Under the guidance of the Corporate Publications Manager, the Publications Editor will manage (plan, develop, publish, distribute and promote) print and digital content for allocated projects, which may include content to engage with research audiences, alumni, or other corporate projects as they arise. You will be the primary point of contact for their projects, collaborating with the rest of the team and key stakeholders to produce quality content within set deadlines, and will be responsible for maintaining best practice knowledge of the field.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be an exceptional editor with a range of experience managing print and digital content. You will be as comfortable translating strategy into content planning and project management as you are proofreading, editing and writing content to tight deadlines.

Ideally, you will have experience in the university or research sector, and be experienced at translating complex language and concepts into appropriate tone of voice for various audiences. You will take initiative, but also to work cooperatively and collaboratively. You will be experienced at using HTML, CSS, SEO, schemas, web design, and managing a CMS, and comfortable with using Google Analytics and other tools to analyse and report on content performance, and identify ways to improve audience reach and engagement.

You must have ongoing unrestricted work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity.

We value diversity and inclusion, and actively encourage applications from those who bring diversity to the University. Our Diversity and Inclusion webpage contains further information if you require additional support. Accessibility requirements and/or adjustments can be directed to recruitment@uq.edu.au.
